He shook his head. "None, but his..." he didn't know what the hell to call her. "His help said that it appeared as though she left willingly, but given the history between Chris and the woman we're talking about...I'd say it's unlikely at best. What do you think?"

"I think if my father made a move to kidnap her or dispose of her while Chris has been gone, I'll kill him where he stands and save us all any more of a headache." Melora caught a bit of a growl in her voice. Oh God, she really was Azura's. She straightened herself and adjusted her voice, trying to go back to sounding calm and collected. "I mean, there's a good chance that the Blackravens are behind the attempt on Chris's life, and while his choice to go with you and Anshel of all people in order to avoid danger is baffling, it may have been the right one."

His lips twitched into the semblance of a smile at her newfound mannerisms. She reminded him of the Gallu already. "I feel the same way. There's no other reasoning to go after a relatively passive clan. Mine I can understand but...Well, we'll have to see when we get there. This will give you a chance to test out your abilities."

Melora yawned, revealing her fangs as she did. "Abilities? Like what?" She saw the beginnings of a smile on his lips and she sighed. He had noticed her growl, obviously. "Don't encourage me," she smiled up at him before going to sit on the bed. "I'm going to start sounding like you, you know." She drew her knees to her chest and watched him from her place there.

He rolled his eyes. "You could never be like me. I'm special, after all. And abilities, like the ones I have. I'm not sure if made vampires have them or not, but I've noticed your stronger, and a little more perceptive." At the sight of her obvious confusion he sighed through his nose and pushed her toward the bed. "More sleep. I'll wake you up in the morning. And no wandering the halls while I'm asleep, alright?" With that he gave a curt nod and left the room, seeking yet another one while she used his. he probably wouldn't sleep tonight anyway, much too much thinking needed to be done on the subject of Christopher's missing girlfriend. He didn't think she just got up and walked off on her own. A few short hours later the both of them were dressed and outside Chris's room, waiting for he and Perenelle to ready themselves for the trip back to the Citadel. "Keep your eyes peeled for anything suspicious there, Melora," he cautioned. "We might be putting ourselves in a fair amount of danger."

"You know how well I do with danger." Melora smiled and leaned against the doorway, knocking on Chris's door. "Hey, let's go, rise and shine Prince Charming. No time to do your hair kiddo." She wasn't in a particularly patient mood on this day, eager to get outside and find out if she could do anything nifty with the whole vampire thing. It was high time that she decided to make the best of a bad situation. "Azura, do you think my father might have something to do with the untimely disappearance of Chris's sweetheart?"

Christopher opened the door, and his form was still paler than normal, and depressed looking. Shadows stayed under his eyes, and stubble was back on his jaw. He didn’t feel like shaving. He didn’t feel like doing much of anything. But somewhere deep down he was drawing strength from the knowledge his people needed him, before somebody else went for the throne. And that anger and darkened sludge that felt to be what was bogging him down was why he hissed at Melora. “I’m not the kid in this situation, newborn.” He growled.
Even as the door was opened, Perenelle gave a gentle tug, straightening his tie. She wore another black shirt, short and just above the knee, and a form-fitting ashen colored blouse underneath a fitted jacket. Christopher… was wearing a suit, but not nearly as orderly as he normally would be under any other circumstance. the white-haired, young appearing woman sighed, turning to Melora to peer at her. "No, I doubt that. There's no evidence of anything we noticed, it appears she went willingly."

"Blackraven's could have easily snuck into her room and taken her without much of a struggle," the King commented, turning and leading the lot of them away from the rooms and toward the front entrance. Along the way he passed several guardsmen, differing a few aspects of his rule over to them, or simply allowing them to carry said messages to the appropriate officials within the structure. He wouldn't miss a thing, not after what happened to Chris's people. He led the small group outside, refusing a visible Guard as he made them all enter the black SUV he was so fond of before beginning the long drive to Ankara, from which they'd procure a plane to the citadel. In a few short hours, he and Melora would have their answers about the secretary girlfriend.
