"I could possibly help you, but I will not let you bite my neck." She eyed him, unflinching and unmoving. The lady beside them gave the pair funny looks. She must've thought the were an interesting young couple. Melora laughed in her head, how wrong that woman would be to assume such a thing. "Wait until we're in the air and the seat belt light goes off, until then mind yourself please." A hungry vampire was a dangerous vampire. Melora knew he could control himself longer than most vampires, but she didn't know how long he could hold out in a plane.

Damn, she didn't even flinch. He grumbled to himself over his failed attempt at creepery...if there was such a word, he'd just invented it. At least he'd gotten a free meal out of it. One that tasted delicious at that. "If not on the neck, then where?" he asked, curious and feeling a little naughty.

"Do you like wine?" She asked, seemingly out of the blue. It really had everything to do with his question. Obviously she hadn't picked up on any of his nasty thoughts or she would have reacted accordingly, but hints like that were beyond her. "I quite enjoy wine, but I hate the taste of it mixed with blood. You'd be surprised how often I stumble across that problem."

"I'm really not, actually. Blood tastes rather good with wine, especially spiced wine." he licked his lips again. His mouth felt like a damn desert. Three hours and it was all he could do to sit still and not pounce on someone. He rested his chin sullenly on the heel of his hand, pouting over the fact that he had to be good. If only it were the olden days and he could just pluck a few human up and snack on them while he traveled. Those were certainly the days. Of course, he hadn't even been born to that era. The plane started to careen down the runway, and soon he felt the vertical force of lifting slightly into the air as the plane leveled out over the face of the globe. He'd never much liked flying, but found it was a necessary means of travel, especially when one was in a hurry.

An attendant came by and Melora asked her for two glasses of red wine. She agreed and returned with the glasses. Finally, when the seat belt light went out, Melora walked down the aisle with a glass of wine and disappeared into the rest room. When she returned her hand was freshly bandaged and she placed the cup in front of the Prince. "This is for you. Do not ask me to do it again." She was in an obvious amount of pain and she kept her hand fist in order to keep the bandage on her hand, but she smiled despite this. "This should at least keep you happy for the rest of the flight".

Azura took the glass, but did not look happy. "You would have suffered far less if you'd allowed me to take some out of your finger, little Hunter." He eyed her carefully making sure she was alright before taking a sip of his offered drink. His lips immediately curved into a smile. "This is delicious, though. I think I shall keep you around." With that second statement, he downed the entire glass in one gulp feeling the warmth evaporate into his chest. it calmed him down, that much was for certain. He also would have been sorely tempted to ask her for more, if she hadn't already said that was in no way a possibility.

"Yes well, I can't exactly have you sucking on any of the various parts of my body that you can get blood from. That would look more odd than having a bandaged hand." Melora had lowered her voice to a whisper and leaned close to him so that only he could hear. "You're the first and only vampire I've ever given my blood to willingly, so be happy." With that she sat back in her seat, squirming to get comfortable. She tied off the bandage on her hand and sipped her own wine, blood free, the way she liked it.

"You only say that because you've never been bitten before." he retorted, defending himself the best he could. He listened with curiosity to her next statement, smile returning. "I hope to be the last," he said, raising his glass to signal the stewardess to bring him more wine.

"Yes, well, I wouldn't know the details of being bitten, but I have only assumed it to be an unpleasant experience." She sipped her wine indignantly at the thought that she would fall victim to such a thing. Though she hated to admit that she almost did the other night, and had Nery not made such a display out of it, she indeed would have. But, he had peaked her curiosity. Any information was good information. "What does it feel like, exactly?"

"I wouldn't know," he said. "I've never been bitten before either. But those few humans whom I don't bite in self defense look like they rather enjoy it. Crave it, even." He eyes positively sparkled. "So I imagine it feels rather good"

"Mhm." She sipped her wine again. "Don't expect me to ever be craving it from you or anyone else." Melora smiled over her glass then finished the last bit. Curiosity had sparked, but she didn't know how to address it. She would never admit that of course, so she took to looking around the plane, hoping to find something to change the subject.

He looked out the window at the endless expanse of dark space, then turned back to her, an idea sparking in his mind. "I don't think it would be too bad, if you really wanted to find out, if I bit your finger. It'd be a little like getting your blood tested for diabetes." He rolled a shoulder in mock indifference, but was curious to hear her answer, though it would probably be a resounding 'no.'

Melora glared at him, then softened her gaze. No, this was a test of his. Was he testing her? Shrugging and turning her eyes to look at something else, she held out her hand to him, directly in front of his face. Would he do it? Probably. But no harm could come of it, and any information she could gather first hand would be good information. As far as she could see, it wasn't a foolish move, and perhaps even demonstrated some trust in him, as far as she could trust a vampire. Melora hated herself for it, but she found him charming, and he had proven himself polite and trustworthy. Still she would keep her guard up, as he was taking her directly to a den of vampires.

Azura's eyebrows practically hit his hairline in surprise. So, this was it, huh? He gingerly picked up her hand in one of his and lifted it to his lips before taking one last glance at her. He almost laughed at the defiant picture she made. Head turned, eyes probably closed, brow most likely furrowed as she awaited the pain of his bite. She would be surprised. He supported a single finger, wrapping his own around the base, and bit gently into the pad using his bottom canine. It sunk in easily and without much resistance, just like always, even given the tougher skin of the finger.

The way that he held her small hand with his own was the first thing to take her by surprise. She always imagined the drawing of blood to be a more violent process than this. It seemed as if he was almost as nervous as she was, not commanding or controlling at all. The next thing to surprise her was that she felt no pain. There was a pressure from his fang slipping into her skin, then a warm feeling. Melora turned towards him in watched him in disbelief to be sure that he had actually bitten her. Interesting. He had been correct, the experience actually felt good. Like a connection between the two of them. All at once Melora was taken in by the sensation. She would hate herself after this. But as for now she focused on every part of the process, gathering the information in her mind and storing it as a memory. Now she knew why humans sought vampires, making themselves willing targets, and why the laws protected the vampires they submitted to. They were getting something in exchange, a fix for their addiction. Just this felt good, what would it be like to have a vampire's fangs fixed to her neck?
And there it was, self hatred came crushing down on her. Guilt for her parent's violent death flooded her every thought. But another kind of guilt rose to her mind too. Guilt for categorizing every single vampire under the label "blood sucking cretin". No, Melora couldn't be guilty for that. She was a hunter. She buried that guilt.
