There are some things that must be done to preserve the wellbeing of the wizarding world, and I have taken it upon myself to complete these crucial tasks. They are by no means easy and it may have been foolish of me to tell very few of where I am going and what I need to do there. However, I trust that they will not speak a word to anybody until it is absolutely necessary. It is unlikely that I will return, but I must try all the same. As to whether I will succeed or fail, I cannot say. There are dangers that lie ahead that I could never have predicted in my wildest nightmares, and I doubt I am aware of all that I will have to face. It is with my doubts that I must prepare for the worst. As I said before, it is unlikely that I will return to continue as the Headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and so I entrust the position to Professor Jonathan Styx in the incident that such measures must be taken. Some may disagree with my decision, but I hope that they trust me enough to give him the chance to prove himself as an appropriate choice. I want all staff members and students alike to know that I will do my very best to get back to Hogwarts and resume my position, but I can by no means guarentee that I will still be alive by the time my disappearance is noticed. Take care, watch out for one another, and trust Professor Styx to do the right thing, both by you and by me.
