"Fuck that." Melora waved a hand. "Tell me everything you possibly can about the person you caught a glimpse of, where and when, every detail you can remember." Her voice was making it's was towards a growl, one similar to Azura's, but she suppressed it as much as she could. To Azura, she thought That sounds like a distraction to me. A little bit too much coincidence, the guards changing shifts and the lady falling over.

Thin, rapid breaths tore out of his mouth, until he finally hissed, to most of the Moroi’s surprise. “That would be wonderful, Azura.” He spoke under his breath before striding toward the assembled, a few feet in front of Melora. His temper was burning with the knowledge of what was fast looking like betrayal, and the Moroi were rambling about the newborn’s place here. “Speak.”
“Compared to his surroundings he was a good height, and I didn’t see much else. His hair was similar to yours in a minute bit perhaps.” The Guard looked thoughtful, concentrating.

Azura's pupils dilated, nostrils flaring with the man's answer. "Did you know I can smell it when someone's lying? Perhaps you better rethink your answer." He still reclined on the wall, but each muscle was taught and tense as if ready to lunge toward anyone who made the first negative mood.

Christopher glanced back at Azura, then flicked a murderous glance to the Guard, stepping foreward to whisper in the man's ears. "I suggest you tell the truth. Otherwise this will get very nasty." He growled, stepping back. The man's skin had paled with fear of a direct threat fron the normally peaceful leader.
"He was tall. Hair similar, but darker than this one's." He nodded to Melora. He tugged at his lip. "And I think he was in some sort of slack and crimson to blend in, it was only a glimpse." He tried.

"Fuck me." She mumbled, taking in the description. She knew exactly who was here, and she didn't like it. "And what of the lady in charge? I assume you just let her walk out the front door unescorted? What can you tell us about that?" Melora's eyebrow raised in annoyance as she looked over the ring leader of the guards, interested and fearful of what he'd say next.

Ten bucks he says yes cause she was in charge. I'd never let you alone in a situation like this. Azura smiled, snapping his fangs together, which seemed to be longer than the average vampire's. "So we're surmising that she was kidnapped."

“You’re misunderstanding…” He scrambled for a title. “Ma’am. It was just after her stumble. She went off escorted at dawn after that, but at dusk she was not in her chambers…” He turned to Azura, nodding.
Chris wheeled, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Anything else?”
“There were no signs of issue, not even an open window, its as though she vanished.” A maid piped. Perenelle ,the ever patient and calm one approached the trembling woman from behind Azura and the others, gently placing a hand on her shoulder. Her eyes blanked, and Perenelle turned back.
"It appears so, King Azura Gallu." She said quietly.
"Any ideas?" Chris thought aloud, voice barely audible.

I would never betray you by leaving in a situation like this. Melora shot back, sure by now that this was indeed the case. Kidnapped my ass. This is too much.
"I suggest," Melora piped up, tired of standing here not accomplishing much, "that we go to our rooms and consider the possible actions we could take here. And I suggest you," She nodded at the rather fearful looking guard who wouldn't meet her gaze at all, "Get all of your details straight on the man you saw. You'd better think damn hard about it, because I want a full description."
Everyone seemed to agree, and Azura and Melora were led in a direction opposite of Chris. A maid opened the door to their room and quickly left, not wanting to be anywhere on their bad side. Melora couldn't help but notice that she'd been given the same room as Azura, as if it were assumed they were together. She sighed at that fact before taking in the room, checking for anything that could possibly be planted there to spy on or attack them.

"Assholes," Azura growled before shirking his jacket and tossing it on a nearby chair. He noticed her circumvent look and rolled his eyes. "I'll sleep on the floor if you're uncomfortable."

"No, no, I'm more mature than that." She was actually rather relieved, to be honest. "I prefer to have you closer to me anyway. It's better than being in a room alone, especially if my suspicions are correct." Melora slipped out of her own jacket, hanging it on a bedpost. "If my father's been here, it means he has access to the building. I'd prefer not to die alone in a room in some unfamiliar Citadel. Or be kidnapped or something stupid of the sort. Apparently they're not too good about keeping up on their important people, which makes me think they'd be even less diligent when it comes to me."

"It makes me think that perhaps they might have let him. It strikes me that they're the type who'd try to overthrow their ruler with subtle and rather stupid subterfuge." He smiled at her and stretched his arms above his head, getting ready to lay down for a minute. He was tired from the travel, and even more so from the shit storm he and Melora walked into. He didn't think it'd be nearly this bad.

Melora sat on the bed and ran a hand through her hair, unbelievably stressed out at the idea that a clan would willingly let her father and his insanity anywhere near them, however it seemed that may indeed have been the case. It also seemed that they weren't really planning on Christopher's return. "I never knew you had to deal with so many idiots on a regular basis, Azura. I have an entirely new level of respect for you." She eyed him as he stretched, secretly checking him out and hoping he wouldn't notice. "On top of all of this, I wonder if this telepathy thing is perminent? It could be very useful. How odd, I'd never heard of that being a side effect of becoming a vampire."

"Neither have I. Then again, I didn't really know much. It was kind of a shot in the dark with you, though I'm glad I didn't accidentally kill you." He closed his eyes and ran his hands over his face. This was too much for him at the moment. He had his own clan to worry about and Chris's mess was...awful. He'd help the young king out without question, but funding the resources and finding the inside culprits would be difficult and cause upheavals within the ranks. Of that he was certain. "Us being here...is about to stir up a hornets nest."

"I'm glad you didn't kill me either," Melora almost laughed at the idea. She'd already died once before, so she was actually happy that she hadn't in this case, despite her situation. "I know we've already started something by being here. Typically you don't get such a cold welcoming committee from what I've seen. We'll need to be on our guard tonight, and I'm sure Chris feels the same. What's the plan if Konstantin shows up?"

"I'm not sure," he said, pausing for a minute. "I'll stay up tonight so you can rest. You still don't have the stamina of a full-grown vampire. Like you said," he said, opening his eyes and looking over at her, "we need to be on our guard."
