Azura snorted indignantly. "About as beautiful as my bare ass, you insane fuck." He stopped abruptly the minute he realized he'd said it in front of subordinates and sheepishly looked elsewhere, hoping they hadn't really noticed. However, that was about as noticeable as a rabbit with a pocket watch.

Wide eyes full of terror flashed whites all around, gazes locked on Christopher as though they expected him to erupt, even Perenelle. It was going to be bad, he was going to rip the building in two. Or maybe strike somebody… or kill. Vampire surrounding the small band started to step back, trying to get away.
His skin was slowly reddening… and he burst out laughing, gripping his ribs. Exhales went out all over, followed by several more nervous, and much quieter, sounding bits of laughter.
“Well,” More laughter, more controlled, spilled into his words. “I’ll let you off the hook Azura, considering you just called your ass ugly. I'd have thought you to be a lover of your body but ehhhh...." He shrugged, looking toward Perenelle and the man for a moment.

Melora raised a hand to her hip and stood in the doorway, looking them both up and down. Crazies. "Very professional, you two. I'm sure you're setting quite the example. Now if you're done trading blows, can we get back to what we're here for?" She was becoming antsy, the longer she stayed in one place, the more likely her father would be to catch up to her.

Azura cleared his throat, purely for Melora's sake. "Right, well. We're going to help you look for your girl. If we find her, she'll either be or know the person responsible for the condition of your clan. Until then, I suggest you appoint yourself to clean up duty. I'll call some of my own in to help." He looked down at Melora for a moment, thinking. "Now, you were a Hunter. Get tracking, beautiful."

"Keeping with the trend of setting the example still I see," she stated, a thickly accented Russian sarcasm danced in the air. "First of all, I'll need to know where she'd normally be staying. Secondly, I'll need a list of all people who were around at the time, or supposed to be around anyway." She raised an eyebrow, looking around the room. The look told everyone to beware if they were hiding anything. "Azura, I'll need you to stay with me, if you don't have anything pressing to do. Also...." Melora scanned the room and chose two guards, ones who looked like they could hold their own in a fight. "You two, if Chris would so indulge me, I'd like you with us as well. This place was infiltrated once, it may happen again. I want Chris and Azura both protected at all times."

Christopher nodded to Perry, and she bobbed her head up and down quickly, brushing an envelope out from under her jacket. “I took the liberty of preparing that already Ms. Belikov.” She said in all her quiet nature, approaching just close enough to extend the manila envelope. It was thick, obviously holding several reports and lists, though sealed.
“Right.” He nodded, brow tightening as he looked along the chandeliers. “She should’ve been staying on the third floor, in the European armor room…”
“She didn’t stay in there.” The pale-haired vampires spoke up, eyes alert. “She stayed in the Victorian one, on the second floor.” Seeing his look grow more confused, she clarified. Damn his issues with his properties and large residences. “The one nearest the maze… Oh, wait, that would be useful, yes?” She cocked her head to one side at Melora, clearly interested.
He cleared his throat, nodding. “It would.” Turning attention again, he looked straight at Azura. “I have a sort of panic room located in the heart of the maze.” He spoke quietly.

The Gallu snorted, pinning him with a pitying flash of his eyes. "You're so sad." He didn't much like the idea of being guarded by a Moroi, but he guessed Melora had her reasons, and that he needn't stress her delicate demeanor. "Let's go then. I'm tired of waiting around."

"Right, let's get going then." Melora slipped the pages out of the envelope and ran her fingers along the edges, fanning them out to scan over them. "I won't lie to you lot, I'm no good at mazes. At all. Hopefully you're all better than me at that, I'd hate to get separated." She shot a worried glance at Azura, entirely suspicious of this entire venture. "Chris, lead the way, if you would."

He rolled his shoulders. "No worries." He said calmly. Fifteen minutes later he made the last tangle of bush disappear into the ground so the trio could get passed, having left Perenelle back at the Citadel. "You see, the thing about the maze is that there's no way in, without an earth user who knows the way, and the plants are all venomous." Confidently striding to what appeared to be an aged shack, left in ruin, he opened the door and stepped inside. Sounds of footsteps going down metal stairs sounded after that.

"The hell kind of safe room is this?" Azura asked, now really disliking the Moroi way of doing things. If you had a problem, build a fricken wall or torture someone...and if that didn't work kill them. Hell, vampires that could innately use magic were incredibly dangerous, but none of them really seemed to get it, or at least apply it to their political lives.

Christopher shook his head, now about a story underground, and tapping on a key pad before a room opened. It was sleek, long, and had some sort of warding around the perimeter. “This is the safe room…” He said, walking in, his eyes fixing immediately on a far corner where blood spatter was, coupled with singed wall. A low growl rose in his throat, eyes slitting. “God damn her!”

Melora kicked her heel against the floor before taking a step forward and examining the wall. Obviously made by force, and judging by Chris's reaction, it wasn't someone who had forced their way in. "Well, great mystery solved..." She crossed her arms, thoughtful. "So now what should we do? Find her?"

"That's what we were doing. And now there's more shit to sift through. Christopher, when we find her, I'm getting you a leash and a collar and you better use them, so help me god."

"I'd rather have a snare and a cage." He growled, walking up to trace his fingers over the charred bit of wall, then the dry bit of blood. "She wasn't abducted, she took somebody." His hands clenched into tight fists, the edges of his teeth bared. "Now we need to find where she went."

"Well, you know her best. Any idea where she would have run off to?" A terrible feeling burned in her stomach, she knew full well that it was entirely possible that she had ran off because of her father, and if that was the case, Melora would feel absolutely horrible about it. "As soon as you can give me a lead, we can go. I'll make arrangements so that we won't need to take a public plane if we need to fly."
